Today is the final message of the “Marriageability” series. I will lead us through a clear look at what the Bible says about divorce. Nowhere does the Bible teach that people who have divorced should be condemned, and it is very clear that there are many innocent parties of divorce. Yet the Scriptures hold marriage in such high esteem that everything that can be done should be done to hold marriage to the highest priority. The Bible speaks truthfully about divorce – it is a fact of life – and today we’ll attempt to both warn and encourage in the direction of a strong family life.
Want to help financially hurting families this Christmas? We have a strategy this year that will allow us to help with gifts for hurting people and be able to present those gifts in a great environment in their public school setting. Want more information? Please go to www.nightofwonder.org and see how you can help!
The “Marriageability” series is all about being the kind of person that makes marriage great. Here’s a summary of what we’ve discussed:
The #1 factor for marriageability is spirituality. People who are spiritually focused just do better – and we can prove it. The #2 factor is sacrifice. When the husband leads the way by sacrificially loving the wife, it sets the foundation for all sorts of incredible things. # 3 is surrender. The wife surrenders to the husbands leadership by believing God can work in ways she cannot. It is factor #4 is sympathy, which means to suffer together, and #5 is sexuality, which means…oh, well, read about it in Song of Solomon.
Today, I’ll focus on sensitivity! I can’t stress enough what this means in marriage – but this series won’t be through until I finish it next week – with a message you will never forget. If you have friends who are struggling in marriage, you must absolutely bring them to this. If you’re traveling, catch it online with our streaming service, live!

Today, I’ll focus on sexuality! The Bible doesn’t hold back when it comes to sexuality. One man & one woman in marriage for life is clearly what the Bible teaches, and it is in that environment that sexuality becomes all it should be.

And that house becomes a home that’s worth investing in. God’s blueprint is always the best one, and that’s why we look each week for Him to lay the plan out.
These days before the holidays are important ones for making a difference in your community. 6 Stones Mission Network will be helping us reach into the many hurting homes this year, and you can be involved. See the 6Stones ministry signs in the lobby and watch for the bulletin inserts so you can be involved!
Are you “marriage-able?” The new message series, “Marriageability,” is all about being the kind of person that makes marriage great. If you’re not that kind of person, your marriage won’t be what it is supposed to be. If you’re single, just what are you doing to get ready for that day? If divorced, what kind of characteristics should you be developing? If married, how can you be better at what you do?
The last two weeks we have talked about the #1 factor for marriage-ability. It is spirituality. People who are spiritually focused just do better – and we can prove it. The #2 factor is sacrifice. When the husband leads the way by sacrificially loving the wife, it sets the foundation for all sorts of incredible things. Today, we’ll be looking at how the wife responds to that kind of love. And while we build that house, think about your own home – or your future home. Let’s make sure we’re building in the right way!
TONIGHT is TEAM IMPACT. We’ve had these guys before and we’ve seen how God uses them – don’t miss this for anything. It is important that we all go home and invite someone to come with us. That someone could have a life-changing night! There is something powerful in how God uses people to bring his message to individuals that would not normally be open to the gospel. Think of those around you – who has God placed squarely in your path – that only you can affect. Bring them tonight at 6.
