I want to encourage you to “create margins” in your life and schedule, especially at this time of the year. It is an incredible challenge to do this, but if you won’t do it, you’re at the mercy of everyone and everything else – and who really can live life this way? To be your best, to make the most of your days, you must find the “space” on the edge of your day/week/month/life. Use it to rest, remember, and refocus on what is important.
    Today, we’ll stand to affirm our 2010 Church Budget at the end of our services. The budget represents what we believe God wants us to do with that which is given as tithes and offerings. Three different committees, along with our staff, worked over a period of several months to envision the ministry and needs of the upcoming year. The budget represents this effort – AND our prayer for God’s provision in the new year. This budget was presented last Sunday evening with a Q/A time and it moves on today to the congregation of First Euless for affirmation. Thanks for your faithfulness to invest in the kingdom of God!
